HAMLET machine
Hamlet returns as our own ghost and asks us not to forget him. He directs the performance of his own life. Alongside him, a group of actors retells again and again the story of a person trying to exist in a world that is collapsing.
Hamlet becomes a field of inquiry, a battlefield, an open confrontation with our ghosts—personal, collective, and historical.
Continuing her research into classical works and contemporary dramaturgy, Sofia Antoniou confronts Hamlet, placing herself between William Shakespeare and Heiner Müller, in a necessary negotiation between the past and the present.
