OEDIPUS REX
A contemporary, intimate reading of Sophocles’ tragedy in the form of a monologue, focused on identity, memory, trauma, and the search for truth.
The performance is conceived for a single actor, embodying the story of a person and a trauma passed from generation to generation. A man searches for his truth, trying to understand who he is.
In the role of Oedipus, Haris Charalambous-Kazepis becomes a wandering narrator, lost in the vortex of the contemporary city and searching for his own truth.
A performance about our deep need to understand who we are.
